“The Festival of Lights” at Little Charms
As we all know, Diwali is one of the most awaited festival for the Indians, across the globe. The festival marks the onset of New Year in most parts of Northern India. The festival is supposed to bring great prosperity and wealth and thus, it is an important festival, especially for all the business people
Who does not need a prosperity and happiness at the office? We at Little Charms celebrated Diwali, a few days before the actual date of festival.
Our Diwali celebrations included a lot of agenda and the festivity kept us busy all throughout the day. Before the day of celebration, each of the staff members took extra time out of their schedule and decorated the entire office. We started the flower decorations at the office, including the cubicles of our senior staffs. Various rangoli design ideas sprouted up, but only two were selected among them. A huge rangoli, with various colors was made at the entrance and one was made inside the office. The credit of the wonderfully decorated rangolis goes to our beautiful female employees. It was a fun-filled activity, wherein the members of different teams came forward and contributed their ideas to make the celebration a grand one. Balloons, flowers, and a few other wall arts were included in the plan of decorations. The cleaning and the basic decorations were made on the previous day itself.
On the previous day of celebration, a small Laxmi Pooja was conducted by a “pandit” at the office premises. A small idol of Goddess Laxmi, draped in a beautiful red colored saree, was kept at the entrance, surrounded by flowers, diyas and the necessary items for doing the Pooja. The Pooja took place for around an hour and later on the “Prasad” was distributed among the employees and other staffs.
Next morning, all the staff members were present at the office, a bit early than their usual time. Everyone was dressed up in smart and beautiful Indian traditional dresses, but still maintaining the contemporary style. The first thing we did was to click a few of our pictures and post it immediately on the social networking sites.
The events were scheduled from 10 o’ clock in the morning. The program began at the stipulated time, by our owner, Ms Roshni Baronia, lighting the lamp and giving a short speech about the festival and its significance. She spoke about the new website of Little Charms, which was launched a week back. A beautiful logo of the website was also launched along with the website, a few days ago. Our owner took this opportunity, to let the world know about our new website, which is especially designed for your kids. It was a great and pride moment for each of the employees and staff who are related to the Little Charms.
Little Charms has a wide range of customer, spread across the globe. A lot of Diwali products were ordered by our customers in the past one week. After the launching ceremony, we started to dispatch a few of these orders.
At about 12, we had an awesome, traditional lunch from the canteen along with sweet dishes. Sweets have always been an essential part of any Indian festival celebration.
Later part of the afternoon was spent in dancing and singing songs. It bought all the members together under one roof, without any competition or egoism. A series of songs from the latest movies such as Prem Ratan Dhan Payo and Baji Rao Mastani were played. Do not forget to watch these Diwali releases. Few of the top Diwali songs from megastar Ambitabh Bachan’s movies were also played at the office. To be honest, this was the most interesting session of the day. Each and every employee and staff of the organization was presented a beautiful gift by our owner, Ms Baronia.
The Television show, “Big Boss” has grabbed the hearts of every youth in India. To make our celebration a bit more interesting, we played a small house game, similar to that of the Big Boss. None of us ever imagined that all the employees were highly talented in the field of acting. This was one of the best session of the celebration.
Towards the end of the day, we lit up Diyas all over the office and at the entrance, to honor the festival of lights. The bright lights are the highlight of this festival as it is a symbol of happiness and positivity. Firecrackers and the lighting displayed during the evening gave us a vibrant feel and confidence. Thus, the day ended with a lot of fun and higher expectations for the future growth of the organization.
The clients are the backbone of our organization. We, all the employees, staffs of the Little Charms wish you a happy and prosperous Diwali. Hats off to our clients who keep us going strong! Wish each and every one a happy and prosperous Diwali.
